Armin Arshi, MD is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon and expert in hip and knee conditions providing state-of-the-art, precision care to patients in Orange County, Los Angeles, and California at large.

Having trained and practicing at the nation’s elite orthopedic institutions, Dr. Arshi brings a new generation of hip and knee replacement to Southern California. His unique educational background and experience as a master in hip and knee surgery consistently provide excellent outcomes.

A Southern California native, Dr. Arshi has always blended his passion for health and fitness with his fascination with engineering and medicine. His mission for excellence began as an undergraduate at UCLA where he received his degree in Bioengineering as a coveted Regent’s Scholar and National Merit Scholar. Nominated the most outstanding graduating undergraduate student at the Henri Samueli School of Engineering & Applied Sciences, he received the Edward K. Rice Award for academic contribution and received awards from the NIH and Howard Hughes Medical Institute for his research contributions on tissue engineering and biomedical device design. Dr. Arshi then received his MD degree from the UCLA School of Medicine on a full-tuition merit scholarship via the Leaders of Tomorrow program. He received numerous top honors for his clinical and academic performance. Upon graduation, he was honored with the Stafford L. Warren Medal as the top graduating student in his class.

Dr. Arshi then completed his residency training in orthopedic surgery at UCLA Medical Center, ranked among the nation’s best medical centers and orthopedic hospitals. He was elected Administrative Chief Resident by his peers and faculty for his clinical performance and leadership. Following residency, Dr. Arshi was then selected for his fellowship in adult hip and knee reconstruction at the renowned Rothman Orthopaedic Institute in Philadelphia, PA. There, he dedicated his time to train with master surgeons in minimally invasive hip and knee replacement and revision surgery.

Dr. Arshi began his surgical practice at NYU Langone Health in New York City, one of the nation’s premiere and most storied orthopedic hospitals and training programs. Dr. Arshi served as Assistant Professor at the NYU School of Medicine where he trained dozens of orthopedic surgery residents, fellows, and medical students in modern hip and knee replacement both in the OR and classroom. At NYU, Dr. Arshi was one of the highest volume arthroplasty surgeons and helped thousands of patients return to their life goals.

Known for his technical skill and knowledge, Dr. Arshi frequently teaches courses to other physicians and orthopedic surgeons both nationally and internationally. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed original articles and has authored textbook chapters and surgical technique protocols that are considered the standard of care. He serves on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Arthroplasty and is a consultant for several orthopedic industry partners. He is an active member with leadership positions in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.

Dr. Arshi returned home to his native Orange County and joined Beach Orthopaedic Specialty Institute in Los Alamitos, CA in 2025. He strives to bring world-class orthopedic care and technique gathered from years of practice to patients in beautiful Southern California.
